SUMMARY: A Bingo Host is a team member of the Bingo Department and fulfills five key roles;
Floor Sales, Admissions Cashier, Bingo Caller, Inventory Clerk and Paymaster. In each role, the
Bingo Host has the responsibility of creating a fun and entertaining environment for all Guests.
Candidates for this role should have a strong passion for customer service, possess an upbeat and
positive attitude, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Bingo Host Level I - Able to perform two duties of a Host (example: Floor Sales &
Admissions) - Bingo Host Level II – Able to perform three duties of a Host (example: Floor Sales,
Admissions & Inventory Clerk) - Bingo Host Level III – Able to perform four duties of a Host – (example: Floor Sales,
Admissions, Caller, and Paymaster). - Bingo Host Level IV – Able to perform all five duties of a Host – Floor Sales, Admissions,
Caller, Inventory Clerk and Paymaster.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (all levels) include the following:
- Upbeat personality for all interactions with Guests and fellow employees.
- Must become familiar with and work within the guidelines of meeting the requirements of regulatory policy and procedures set forth by Mohawk Bingo Palace and National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) Minimum Internal Controls (MICS), and the MBP Standard Operating Procedure for Bingo.
- Exercises appropriate discretion in identifying situations that require management attention.
- Knowledge of calendar and special promotions and the ability to communicate them to the Bingo Guests through one-on-one interactions and announcements.
- Coordinates with Bingo Supervisor and Security to detect and prevent attempts to cheat or damage gaming equipment and to identify floor irregularities to a Bingo Supervisor, Bingo Manager.
- Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Mohawk Bingo Palace and encourages others to do the same. Adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
- Must work scheduled shifts and positions.
- Other duties as assigned by the Bingo Supervisor/Manager.
Floor Sales and Admissions:
- Proactive in anticipating customer needs by continually searching for hands and customers in need of service. Handle customer disputes to ensure that all guests have an enjoyable experience. Become familiar with all guests, remembering names and little facts.
- Possesses strong money handling skills in selling paper and paying off winners. Knowledge
of documentation required in transactions. - Possesses a thorough working knowledge of the various Bingo games and equipment. Basic
knowledge of other services and games offered at this property. - Open and/or close Bingo, process money to and from hosts, monitor cashier terminals, maintain shift reports as well as generated reports in and between departments, operate session
in a timely manner as business demands. - Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner to include calculating the sales and banks of cashiers, floor-agents and pull-tab agents. Count, verify and confirm cashiers, agent’s banks,
and sales drops.
Caller:
- The caller is responsible for calling the games, stopping bingo games when there is a potential winner, verifying the winning card, closing the game out, and keeping the games going in a steady pace.
- Must have excellent communication skills and strong leadership skills.
- Callers are responsible for ensuring the caller’s reports/logs is current. The reports/log contains multiple payout amounts, programs, game patterns, house rules that are read, and any other special announcements that the supervisor directs.
- The caller is responsible in primarily responsible for calling bingo game by exhibiting up-beat personality and be professional.
- The caller must keep track of all prizes paid at the time of wins on a specified recording sheet.
Inventory Clerk:
- Packages and Prepares bingo paper and pull tabs for sale on bingo floor.
- Issuance and return of bingo paper and pull tabs on computer database.
- Distinguish American from Canadian paper series.
- Counts down paper and tabs being issued and returned to the Inventory Department.
- Does the lots for the upcoming Bingo sessions; counts extra cards and pull tabs to keep everything stocked and counted.
- Prepares the lots with non- duplicate cards. Separating off Series of the cards.
- Keeps the shelves stocked with paper for bingo sales for at least one week.
- Records paper and tabs distributed and returned from bingo floor sales on a daily basis.
- Keeps the supervisory informed of what inventoried items need to be ordered.
- Enters newly arrived supplies and removes old/obsolete supplies from the database.
- Works along with Bingo Department to verify bingo floor sales.
Paymaster: - Ensures the Mohawk Bingo Palace is following all Title 3l Rules and Regulations.
- Follows all Bingo SOPs for Bingo payouts.
- Responsible for handling cash, balancing Bingo Cash Drawer at end of bingo shift in a timely manner.
- Requires full working knowledge of each area and proficiency with the Omni bingo system, and Microsoft Office programs.
- Process drops, bingo pay outs and vouchers.
- Responsible for reporting any suspicious incidents to bingo lead or above
- Handles and addresses cash transaction issues/disputes as they arise.
- Records any applicable federal cash transactions within computerized software.
- Must have knowledge of all bingo promotional P&P’s and executes accordingly
- Must attend all mandatory training required by position.
- Assists in training of all new associates learning bingo payouts, cashier and drops.
- Data enter and calculate bingo percentage games using Bingo Forms.
- Assist in finding of variances, and discrepancies of paperwork.
- Assists Bingo Leads and above in day-to-day activities involving all bingo monies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum High School Diploma or General Education (GED) required.
- Must possess strong money handling and documentation skills.
- Must have knowledge of casino rules, procedures and regulations pertaining to Bingo
Operations. - Must be able to work as a team across departments and levels of management.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance.
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and
recognize standards required by a regulated business. - Must be able to work calmly and professionally in stressful situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation. The associate must be able to maneuver all areas of the Bingo area. The associate must be able to lift or move up to 40 pounds. The associate must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items. The associate must be able to walk and be on feet for long periods of time. The associate must be able to sit and work at computer terminal for long periods of time. Must have a sense of urgency and keep up with fast paced business practices. Excellent vision (including peripheral) is needed for game security
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are
representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this
job with or without reasonable accommodation. The position exists in a casino work environment
where there is occasional exposure of the employee to high levels of noise and cigarette smoke
from the casino floor.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must obtain and maintain a St. Regis
Mohawk Tribal Gaming Class II license which requires a background check to be used solely for

candidate is not eligible for employment with the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort.
