About the Role:

SALARY LEVEL: $66,451.63 - $110,646.84 ANNUALLY

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Registered Practical Nurse practices within the clinical setting in collaboration with the
client, and in partnership with other care providers. The incumbent will utilize a traumainformed care approach, that ensures the delivery of client-centered care that will achieve and
maintain maximum health during the detoxification process. This is accomplished through the
promotion, maintenance, restoration of health, prevention, treatment, and palliation of illness and
injury. This is achieved through the assessment of health status, planning, and the
implementation of interventions and the coordination of health services. The RPN will also
establish a therapeutic relationship through the use of effective interpersonal and interviewing
techniques, that ensure the patient has a choice, as well as autonomy in decision-making and is
included in all aspects of care planning in the initial recovery process.



QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be registered and a member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario or eligibility for a permit.

• RPNAO membership and Liability insurance

• A minimum of two (2) year's experience in a clinical setting.

• Current certification in First Aid and CPR.

• Knowledge and experience with First Nations culture an asset.

• Valid driver’s license to maintain and continuously meet the MCA Fleet management policy.
