About the Role:

Position Summary:


Under the supervision of the School Principal, the Kanien'keha Art Teacher is responsible to teach and
educate students according to the educational needs, abilities and attainment potential of individual
students entrusted to his/her care by the School Principal. The Kanien'keha Art Teacher will provide
instruction/support to all students under his/her charge following the prescribed Kanien'keha curriculum
guidelines: maintain lesson plans and long range Kanien'keha instructional plans; develop and implement
a sound timetable of daily instructional assignments; provide assessments and maintain records of student
work and achievements; be able to work as part of a team in a challenging but rewarding environment.

Qualifications:


➢ Bachelor’s Degree in any field;


➢ Has Kanien'keha language.


➢ Teaching experience is an asset.


OR


➢ High School with two (2) years of language training.


➢ Has Kanien'keha language.


➢ Teaching experience is an asset.
