Position Summary:


Under the direction of the Early Learning Integration Facilitator, the Special Needs Specialist is responsible for assessing the needs of children through applied behavioral analysis or other research-based tools and to ensure appropriate modification through individualized plans in inclusive educational programs. This includes support to children, families, and staff enrolled in childcare, K3-K5 and drop-in programs.


Salary: SP06 $56,374.52 - $61,749.50




Qualifications:


➢ Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education with three (3) years working alongside children with special needs


in an inclusive setting, and experience working with families.


OR


➢ Post Secondary Diploma in Early Childhood Education with specialized diploma/certificate in area related


to special education and five (5) years' work experience with children with special needs and families.
