Ahkwesahsne Mohawk Board of Education - Post Secondary Assistance Program

About this Scholarship:

The Ahkwesahsne Mohawk Board of Education (AMBE) Post Secondary Assistance Program provides financial assistance to students pursuing a college/university degree.




Eligibility



  • The student must be Onkwehonwe
  • The student must hold membership with the Mohawks of Akwesasne, or show proof of probationary membership status, possess a 159 band number, and certification of Residency (Residency I only) (MCR # 2005/2006 - #270)
  • Students who have successfully completed secondary school and have been accepted by an accredited educational institution
  • Students 19 years or older who have been out of high school for at least one year and have not completed secondary school but have been accepted as a mature matriculates by an educational institution
  • If the student owes money to the AMBE PSAP, the student in ineligible for assistance until is is repaid
